Polished 96% Alumina Ceramic Parts Overview
This is a custom-made precision ceramic component used for point-sealing control of water pumps. It is made of 96% alumina and injection molded. The inner curved surfaces of the six through holes require polishing, as does the bottom surface of the part, to facilitate control of different sealed hydraulic transmission lines.
After sintering, alumina parts require further precision machining to achieve the tolerances required by the customer, such as inner diameter and outer diameter. Contact surfaces require further polishing to ensure a tight seal. Other non-working surfaces do not require polishing.
Polished 96% alumina ceramic parts are precision-machined ceramic components designed for applications requiring excellent surface finish, electrical insulation, wear resistance, and dimensional stability. Through precision machining and polishing processes, alumina ceramic components can achieve smoother surfaces, tighter tolerances, and improved reliability for demanding industrial and electronic applications.
Alumina ceramics offer a balanced combination of mechanical strength, electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, and cost effectiveness, making them one of the most widely used engineering ceramic materials.
Key Features of Alumina Ceramic Parts
Polished alumina ceramic parts are manufactured through processes such as CNC machining, grinding, lapping, and polishing to achieve high surface quality and precise dimensional control.
Compared with unpolished ceramic components, polished ceramic parts provide smoother surfaces, lower friction, improved sealing performance, and reduced particle generation.
Precision polishing can significantly reduce surface roughness and improve appearance and functional performance.
Typical polished surface roughness may achieve:Ra < 0.2 μm
96% alumina ceramics provide stable dielectric properties suitable for electronic and electrical applications.
Alumina ceramic parts perform well in abrasive and chemically aggressive environments.
Precision machining enables tight tolerances and consistent part geometry.

Polished alumina ceramic parts provide smoother surfaces, tighter tolerances, and better wear resistance. These properties help improve sealing performance, reduce contamination, and increase long-term reliability in precision industrial equipment.
The achievable surface roughness depends on material condition and geometry complexity. In many precision applications, polished alumina ceramic parts may achieve Ra values below 0.2 μm through advanced grinding and polishing processes.
96% alumina provides a good balance between performance and cost. While higher purity alumina may offer better insulation and corrosion resistance, 96% alumina is often sufficient for most industrial and electronic applications.
Yes. Precision ceramic parts can be customized in dimensions, tolerances, hole structures, surface finish, and polishing requirements according to specific application needs and assembly conditions.
