3-hole Electric Coffee Grinder Discs Overview
This product is a representative ceramic core component used in coffee grinders for fine grinding of coffee beans. It comes in standard sizes and shapes and is compatible with a wide range of commercial coffee grinders. Relevant dimensions are shown below.

There are two types of grinding ceramic burrs for coffee grinders: conical and flat. If you require a very uniform grind or prefer a finer grind, a flat grinder is ideal. If you prefer a medium to coarse grind, a conical grinder is more suitable.
Our ceramic grinding discs for coffee grinders are primarily made of 95%, 99%, and 99.5% alumina. The disc you see here is made of 99% alumina. Alumina is widely used in grinding discs due to its high hardness and excellent corrosion resistance. Grinders using alumina discs are designed for a long service life.
Key Advantages
A typical ceramic burr is a key part of coffee grinder, there are following advantages:
Each ceramic grinding burr is made from carefully selected wear resistant ceramic materials retaining sharp grinding surfaces and resist mechanical wear over long periods of use.
chemically stable for resisting acid, alkali, moisture, and high temperatures. The Ceramic Grinding Core maintains performance even in hot or humid grinding environments, ensuring food flavor integrity.
All materials used in our ceramic burrs are certified by FDA, LFGB, and EEC for food safety. These wear resistant ceramic cores eliminate concerns over rust, heavy metal leaching, or microplastics, making them ideal for kitchen tools and food processing equipment.
Whether the structure is conical or flat, the ceramic burrs keep uniform grinding performance. This is particularly important in coffee grinding and spice processing, where consistency impacts flavor and texture.
Compared to metal or plastic alternatives, our ceramic core systems require fewer replacements, offer better recyclability, and reduce long-term costs for customers.

No. Even if you had an awesome grinder that could vary between the sizes (Note that coffee beans are about 10 times larger than a pepper corn), there are two complications: Firstly it would be hard to adjust it precisely right when going back and forth. Secondly your coffee would taste like pepper!
Ceramic burrs are designed to last a long time, and with proper care, they can last even longer. However, the lifespan of your ceramic burrs will ultimately depend on how often you use them and how well you take care of them.
There are different reasons and occasions for cleaning.
(1) Daily cleaning and maintenance: In this case you want to avoid getting old grinds mixed with your freshly ground coffee. You don’t have to disassemble it thoroughly every time you clean it. You can use a soft brush or a dust blower around the burrs daily or weekly (depending on how clean it is).
(2) Deep cleaning: In this case you take the grinder apart and clean out old coffee built-up (Be sure you know the correct way to take apart your grinder). You can do this every 3-6 months and use a dust blower or a soft brush for cleaning.
